Newton Open Studios
April 1 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Newton Open Studios is celebrating its 20th year on April 1 and 2, with 140 artists at pop-up exhibit/sales locations throughout Newton. These pop-ups (at artists’ homes, studios, and area institutions) will be filled with paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photography and much more. NOS is one of the largest and longest running annual art events in the region.
The website (newtonopenstudios.org) features an interactive map, a full page of images and info for each artist, plus artist-lists by category, by village and by name. The NOS printed guide includes a full map for easy navigation, and contact info and a sample image for every artist. The guide can be downloaded from the website, or found at the Newton Free Library and at local businesses.
This free event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special events, demos and locations with extended hours are listed on the website. All the NOS locations have ample free parking, and many have handicap access. Red balloons mark the locations.
