Artist Talk: Ivan Toth Depeña

Known for his public artworks, Ivan Toth Depeña shows 2-dimensional pieces at Connecticut College's Cummings Art Center that use the language of painting and drawing made with unconventional processes. Depeña is an artist currently living and working in Miami, FL, and Charlotte, NC. With a degree in architecture from Harvard, Depeña is adept at extending his studio practice to public art installations that involve interactive technology. Family Movie: An American Tail

Arts Center East launches this new quarterly poetry series on Sunday, February 26. Featured readers will represent a diversity of development in their careers as poets. Matthew Shelton is an internationally published poet and translator of poetry written in more than five languages. Gabriela Garcia-Sanchez is a University of Connecticut senior. Kayleigh Perkins and Kimberly McGuire are two Rockville High School poets who have won national awards for their work.
