Art Matters Foundation
(MA) Art Matters Foundation has announced Cambridge-based artist and stage director Charlotte Brathwaite as one of the recipients of its 2020 grants. The $5,000 fellowship can be used for any and all aspects of artistic practice. The non-profit awards are granted annually to artists or collectives working in contemporary art or performance. Brathwaite’s work, which includes film, performance, and installation, explores the intersection of women’s issues, poverty, war, race and the complexities of the human condition. Brathwaite is currently an associate professor of acting and directing at MIT.
