Mass Cultural Council

(MA) Mass Cultural Council appointed Michael J. Bobbitt as the agency’s executive director. Effective February 1, 2021, Bobbitt became the most senior cultural official in the state. Bobbitt previously served as the artistic director of the New Repertory Theatre in Watertown, MA. In addition to his work as a director, choreographer, and playwright, Bobbitt has extensive experience in nonprofit arts management through training at Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management, The National Arts Strategies Chief Executive Program, and Cornell University’s Diversity and Inclusion Certification Program.
