Tina Tallon
(MA) Composer, artist and researcher Tina Tallon was awarded a 2020-2021 fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. The one-year fellowships create an interdisciplinary, international community of 50 fellows across the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences. Tallon’s work as a fellow includes a book and an interactive multimedia chamber opera, Shrill, to premiere at Boston’s Guerilla Opera. Tallon explores the relationship between embodied sonic cognition and technology, with a focus on how technological mediation of the human voice has influenced our understanding of identity, agency, privilege and authority. Tallon is currently an assistant professor of composition at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
